The Galapogos Project

  • Over the past 12 years, Wild Aid has developed a comprehensive enforcement model and operational program, making the Galapagos Reserve one of the most unique marine ecosystems in the world. Currently less than 1 percent of the oceans are officially protected.
  • The Reserve, with strategic warden installations, patrol vessels, satellite-monitoring technology, comprehensive training of wardens in law enforcement techniques, and sniffer dogs for shark fins and sea cucumbers make it one of the best equipped and effective marine reserves in the world.
